ENG 5314.001 Specializations in Technical Communication: English 5314.Topic: Writing Public Policy Description: You will be introduced to technical communication theories and practices currently used to produce persuasive government documents. You will engage in collaborative writing exercises that simulate the invention processes used to create regulation preambles, regulations, legislative impact statements, responses to public comments, requests for rulemaking, board/council memorandums, advocacy group websites, and E-rulemaking websites. Goals: To acquaint you with the various genres of technical communication used in government and nonprofit organizations, specifically in public policy writing and development. |
